About the Position

Your tasks will involve psychosocial treatment work, including assessment interviews, urgent and planned patient visits, support for children and families, collaboration with care neighbors and authorities, and documentation.

You will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, caregivers, rehabilitation coordinators, and physiotherapists. Your role in the team is both to serve as a primary care contact and to pay attention to psychosocial aspects. You will receive supervision alongside other social workers at the clinic and opportunities for further education.

About Us

The psychiatric clinic in Alingsås is part of adult psychiatry at Södra Älvsborg Hospital. The clinic serves the catchment area of Alingsås and Lerum municipalities with approximately 90,000 residents. The location of the clinic in Alingsås provides excellent communication opportunities. Our team includes nurses, doctors, caregivers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, secretaries, as well as a unit manager and clinic coordinator. The social work group currently consists of four social workers, soon to be five. All have specializations and extensive experience in psychiatric care. Most of the group has worked at the clinic for many years, contributing to stability and security. The group is characterized by openness, commitment, and collegial care, with plenty of laughter included in daily work.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or a licensed healthcare curator, preferably with prior experience in social services and/or psychiatry. Competence in addiction and/or psychosis care is an advantage. To fit in with us, we want you to have the ability to independently plan your work while coordinating with colleagues in the team. We place great importance on the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
